JACKIE
JORDAN’S “MIRACLE” September 2004
Jackie
Jordan had suffered from gastrointestinal difficulties most
of her life. When she was 6, she
was
diagnosed with pseudo-obstruction of the bowel and hypo-plastic
bladder. Children with this disease normally do not live
into their teens, doctors told her family.
In 2001, when she was 11, she went into toxic shock the week before Christmas.
Every organ in her body shut down. Her parents rushed her to the hospital.
Her temperature was 93, her blood pressure was 30 over 13, and the medical
staff could read no significant vital signs. She was in intensive care on full
life support for a week. Two months later she left the hospital, with liver
disease, damaged organs and numerous other issues.
A top pediatric gastro-intestinal doctor in Pittsburgh told her she was not
a candidate for organ transplants. The family worked to keep her nourished
through artificial means. She struggled to reach 60 pounds by the age of 12.
Again, Jackie was admitted to Texas Children’s Hospital. It was Easter
Sunday, 2003. A gastro-jejunal (G-J) tube was implanted in her stomach to feed
her. She couldn’t tolerate the formulas, and her stomach leaked constantly.
Jackie’s mom, Linda, had to change the bandages around the clock. And
the pain Jackie experienced was excruciating. Once again, she was in the hospital
for months. She finally was allowed to go home in June.
A month later, Jackie begged the doctor to remove the feeding tube. Even after
it broke, the doctor would not remove it. Jackie was losing hope of ever feeling
better. Linda and Jim Jordan prayed for a doctor who could find a cure for
Jackie. Then the call came.
One
of Jackie’s teachers called Linda, insisting the Jordans
take Jackie to Dr. Robert Sones. Dr. Sones had helped her in
a fight against breast cancer.
“Oh, no, not another doctor,” Linda thought. But the teacher insisted
that this Dr. Sones was not just another doctor. He was a “healer.” So
Linda made the appointment for the following Monday.
On Monday, July 28, 2003, Linda carried Jackie into Dr. Sones’ office.
He examined her and determined that she needed to have her nervous system balanced.
Using the Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique, he treated Jackie and balanced
her energy field and nervous system. The leaking from the stomach bandages
stopped – immediately. And the pain stopped. After being in pain for
three years, for Jackie Jordan, this was a miracle.
And in some ways, it seemed a miracle for Bob Sones as well. “When I
examined Jackie I observed and demonstrated to her and Linda that she had a ‘timing’ problem
related to her condition. Using B.E.S.T., we balanced her autonomic nervous
system and restored normal function. I was as amazed at her body’s immediate
response as the Jordans were. I would never say that I heal anything. I am
not ‘the power.’ But I recognize that when you remove the interference
to this natural process, the power to heal can begin to express itself.”
Two days and two sessions later, Jackie returned to Texas Children’s
Hospital. For the first time in two years, Jackie was able to walk into the
clinic. For the first time in her life, her blood work was normal. From then
on, Jackie’s health continued to improve. Three months later, the G-J
tube was removed. Six months later, Jackie’s organs were functioning
on their own. She even experienced peristalsis, or normal digestion, for the
first time in her life.
“You have to understand that all of our knowledge is about equal to three
grains of sand on the beach. If we are to discover the fourth grain, we have
to have an open mind,” commented one of Jackie’s doctors, Dr. John
Mathias, M.D., Neuro-gastroenterology, in discussing Jackie’s amazing recovery
with one of his colleagues. Dr. Mathias was Professor of Medicine and Director
of Gastroenterology at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas,
from 1989 to 1996. Now practicing in the Houston Medical Center, he contributed
greatly to Jackie’s outcome.
Jackie continued to improve, and, even after being out of school for three
years, was able to complete her eighth grade curriculum and graduate with her
classmates. Now she is in the 9th grade at St. Pius X Catholic High School,
taking all Honors courses and earning straight
A's.
As
for Jackie Jordan, life is good. For Linda and Jim Jordan,
Jackie’s healing is a miracle. For Bob Sones, it is
an incredible affirmation of the body’s ability to
do what it was designed to do – heal itself.
